Includes dangerous currents, undertows, rips, turbulent water and comparable current hazards affecting swimmers at beaches, harbours, rivers and other open-water locations, together with controls specifically intended to warn about, restrict access to, supervise or enable rescue from those current hazards.

- Excludes generic open-water drowning risks where dangerous currents are not the material hazard.
