“I can advise that both the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) have issued guidance in this area. Links are provided in the annex to this letter. NHS England is currently working on how better to escalate and respond to patient concerns. Work continues with the Royal College of Physicians to examine the system of care based around the Early Warning Score process.”
